Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan French Fries are the perfect side dish with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Coated in savory garlic butter and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, these fries are a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions, making them the ideal snack or accompaniment to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium to large russet potatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch sticks
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp paprika (sweet, hot, or smoked)
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is best)
  • Minced fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, kosher salt, and paprika. Add the potatoes and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, then toss the fries and cook for another 8-12 minutes until crispy.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Transfer the fries to a large bowl and pour the garlic butter over them. Toss to combine.
  7. Add the Parmesan cheese and toss again to coat the fries evenly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soaking the potatoes helps achieve a crispier texture.
  • Ensure the fries are arranged in a single layer for even cooking.
  • If desired, add extra garlic for a stronger flavor.
  • Leftover fries can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-4 days.
  • To reheat, place fries in the air fryer at 375°F for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
