These lemon herb chicken sliders are an easy sheet pan dinner perfect for beginner cooks. Quick, healthy, and full of fresh, zesty flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Slider buns (12-pack)
  • Cooked chicken breast (2–3 cups, shredded or sliced)
  • 1 lemon (zest and juice)
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary)
  • 68 slices of Swiss or provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional: Dijon mustard or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Slice the entire batch of slider buns horizontally and place the bottom half on the prepared sheet pan.
  3. Layer shredded chicken evenly over the bottom buns. Drizzle lemon juice and sprinkle lemon zest over the chicken.
  4. Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs on top of the chicken layer.
  5. Cover with cheese slices, ensuring even coverage across all sliders.
  6. Place the top half of the buns over the cheese layer.
  7. Combine melted butter with minced garlic and brush it over the top of the buns.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overdo the lemon juice or buns may become soggy—focus it on the chicken.
  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time and add extra flavor.
  • For crispier tops, broil for 1 minute at the end but watch closely.
  • Dried herbs can be substituted for fresh—use half the amount.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in oven for best texture.
