The Mozzarella Cheese Omelette is a quick, easy, and creamy dish that combines fluffy eggs and melted mozzarella cheese. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light meal any time of the day. You can easily customize it by adding your favorite vegetables and seasonings for extra flavor. This simple recipe is ideal for busy mornings or a satisfying midday snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Bell Pepper (chopped)
  • 1–2 Green Chilies (optional)
  • Fresh Herbs (like parsley or cilantro)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Butter or Olive Oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs in a bowl until frothy.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and add butter or olive oil.
  3. Sauté the onions and bell peppers until they are soft and lightly caramelized.
  4. Pour the whisked eggs over the sautéed vegetables and allow the mixture to cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the eggs.
  6. Gently fold the omelette in half and let it cook on low heat for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve the omelette hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs and a side of toast or salad.

Notes

  • For a fluffier omelette, you can separate the egg whites and yolks, beat the whites until stiff, and then fold them into the yolks.
  • Don’t overcook the omelette. Keep the heat low to prevent the eggs from becoming dry.
  • Feel free to add mushrooms, spinach, or other vegetables to suit your taste.
  • If you prefer a dairy-free option, try using plant-based cheese alternatives.
