This Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake combines the sweetness of strawberries with creamy cheesecake and a golden cake mix topping for an easy, irresistible dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Spread the fresh or frozen strawberries evenly at the bottom of the baking dish. Pour the strawberry pie filling on top of the strawberries.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the strawberry layer.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Do not stir.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the dry cake mix. Again, do not stir.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

  • Frozen strawberries can be used, but make sure to thaw them and drain any excess liquid before using them.
  • For a twist, try substituting the strawberries with blueberries, peaches, or cherries.
  • Don’t mix the layers—this ensures the cake forms correctly during baking.
  • For a lighter version, try using Greek yogurt or a dairy-free cream cheese alternative.
