Valentine’s Day Oreo M&M’s cookies are a fun, festive treat that combines the sweetness of crushed Oreos and colorful M&M’s. These chewy cookies are easy to make and require no chilling time. They are perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day with loved ones or as a delicious holiday gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter (slightly softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • 7 regular Oreo cookies (roughly chopped, not double-stuffed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo pieces and Valentine’s Day M&M’s.
  7. Use a large cookie scoop to portion out equal-sized dough balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Press extra Oreo pieces and M&M’s onto the dough balls for decoration.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 13 minutes, or until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend and gluten-free Oreos.
  • Ensure you use regular Oreos, not double-stuffed, to prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
  • If the dough feels too dry, add a tablespoon of milk to bring it together.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze them for up to 2 months.
  • For ice cream sandwiches, slightly underbake the cookies to maintain their softness.
